New name trending...

I write, speak, and preach about this all of the time, calling a design by a specific style is tough. So much of design is a mix of styles and forms that now designers name it by two or three names. I was recently asked what my design philosophy consisted of and while I believe that is asking how the world works or how to have peace in the middle east, I have more of a form and function philosophy for design. People do not get out of their cars or leave restaurants and think "oh that was nice to sit in that seat," it only comes up if it was uncomfortable to sit in the seat. So while names such as Modern Farmhouse (new name trending), modern, mid-century modern, rustic and so on and so on, are being thrown out there, remember more thought then picking fabrics has been put into it, function is a great consideration as well, and yes I did say that...
